The festival will run two massive stages simultaneously in 2022 – the main stage and the Big top stage will be setting an electrifying fire into the atmosphere. An ignition of music, arts, and a great fun-filled week!

How do I get to the festival?

Traveling to the Isle of Wight music festival is simple and straightforward – so there is no need for tons of planning – stay with us here, and we will guide you thoroughly. 

The only thing you need to do is get yourself to one of the four mainland ferry ports at Portsmouth, Lymington, Southsea, or Southampton. 

Southampton

With Red funnel’s two services; the ferry from Southampton to East Cowes or the Red Jet from the Southampton to West Cowes. You can easily find a bus station at both of the Cowes’ terminals and can easily get a bus to take you directly to the festival location if you are on foot. 

Portsmouth & Lymington

The Wightlink offers two services, the first from Lymington to Yarmouth, a 35-minute crossing, and the second from Portsmouth to Fishbourne – a 45-minute crossing. You can easily catch a direct bus to the Isle of Wight festival location from the island terminals. 

Southsea

For Southsea, the Hovertravel operates a hovercraft service for those on foot from Southsea to Ryde. A bus service at Ryde is available for taking you directly to the festival’s location. Also, you can find taxi services running from all ports if you so prefer to travel in one rather than a bus. 

How long is the ferry to the Isle of Wight?

The journey times for ferries vary and depend on where you are catching the ferry from. For instance, the journey from Southampton can take you as little as 23 minutes in a high-speed service. Whereas on the other hand, the ferry ride from Portsmouth to Fishbourne will take around 45 minutes. 

The quickest travel time is through the Hovercraft from Southsea – as the crossing only takes about 10 minutes. 

How old do I have to be?

There is no age limit for attending the Isle of Wight festival 2022, plus people under 12 years can get into the festival for free – but they must still book in advance. 

Is the Isle Of Wight Festival family friendly?

Indeed, the Isle of Wight music festival is family-friendly, housing activities for every age and preference. The festival offers tickets for the entire age/family setting, which includes; 

Teen Tickets 

The teenager tickets are for people between 13 to 17 years, and these tickets also include camping. 

Child Tickets 

There are also options for child tickets for children aged 5 years to 12 years. 

Infant Tickets

Infants and young children of 4 years can enjoy free access to the Isle of Wight festival 2022. 

*Please note there is a maximum number of four children and/or infants per booking. The teenagers and children must be accompanied by an adult of at least 18 years or older. Bring the proof of age, and also an ID may be asked to be checked upon entering the festival premises. 

Can I camp at the Isle Of Wight Festival?

The Isle of Wight music festival is a camping festival, and you can also buy weekend tickets for the festival, which will let you stay on the Island the entire weekend. You can exit/re-enter the festival premises throughout the weekend via a camping ticket. 

You can also opt for day tickets and stay in local accommodation establishments if camping is not your thing.
