London To Paris
The adventure begins in England’s capital, which you will leave behind to explore the wonders of France further. The ride will get you pedalling through glorious English countryside, passing through the so-called Garden of England (Kent), cycling through the mediaeval villages and market towns of France, and eventually reaching Paris.
You have to be a morning person this time, as there will be an early start from Crystal Palace in London so as not to get stuck in the morning traffic. London’s roads will be quiet, and it will not be long until you find yourself among the rolling fields and rural areas of marvellous Kent. The Garden of England is packed with spectacular landscapes, historical castles, dramatic crags, and charming oast houses and orchards. You will bike on country roads across the low-lying hills of the North Downs to Dover and continue to the coast, where the old and tranquil villages and market towns of Northern France will be waiting for you. But before that, you have to cross the Channel to Calais by ferry.
Charity bike rides are some of the most rewarding experiences you can indulge in, as they show you the world as it is – dynamic and challenging yet so beautiful. Plus, they allow you to use your bike as a tool for good and help those in need. Such rides also give you a chance to meet people you would never have and hence create bonds of friendship.
