The 2022 Asia Cup winners’ In Group A of the 2022 T20 World Cup, Sri Lanka will play Namibia today, October 16. The former World T20 champions are clear favorites to win the match, but they can’t let their guard down.

On the other hand, Namibia hasn’t played a T20I since May, when they beat Zimbabwe in a series. They also won the warm-up game against Ireland by 11 runs, but the game against Zimbabwe was called off because of rain.

Pitch Report: SL vs. NAM

So far, only one T20I match has been played at Simonds Stadium. However, a lot of domestic cricket has been played there. Most of the time, the wicket has real bounce, which gives the batters a slight edge over the bowlers. If the captain wins the toss, he or she might want to bowl first.

Today’s SL vs. NAM T20 World Cup Match Toss

After tossing a coin, Sri Lanka has elected to bowl first. They argue that as the game’s pitch is brand new, the bowlig should be selected first.

Playing XIs for Sri Lanka vs. Namibia

·        Sri Lanka:

Pathum Nissanka, Dilshan Madushanka, Kusal Mendis (wk), Dhananjaya de Silva, Dushmantha Chameera Danushka Gunathilaka, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Dasun Shanaka (c), Wanindu Hasaranga, Chamika Karunaratne, Maheesh Theekshana

·        Namibia:

Probable Leaders in SL and NAM

  • Best possible batter

For Sri Lanka at the Twenty20 World Cup, Kusal Mendis will be at the top of the order. He performed adequately at the Asia Cup, scoring 155 runs in six games at an average of 25.83, with a high of 60. In the first match, Mendis will try to play a decisive knock.

  • Best bowler

Madushanka wowed the crowd at the 2022 Asia Cup. He took six wickets in the same games while bowling at an economy rate of 7.75.

It is our opinion that Sri Lanka will be victorious in today’s match. The The UK Time is the place to go for up-to-the-minute news and analysis.
